Calling all the ladies in the house!
Did your new years resolve include giving back more to your community? Or, perhaps you want to spend more quality time with your besties this year. Or, if you’re like me, you want to do both! Well, Silver Spring Cares has created an event to check all those boxes.
Our generous friends at McGinty’s Public House have kindly offered to host our first Galentine’s Day Gathering on Wednesday, February 13th at 7:30 pm. We are so excited to announce this year’s recipient is Shepherds Table!
We will have various stations where you can mingle with friends and participate in hands-on activities that will be used directly by the clients of Shepherds Table. We’ll have delicious appetizers for your nosh needs and there will be delicious $5 drink specials too.

Shepherd’s Table’s mission is to provide help to people who are homeless or in need by providing basic services, including meals, social services, medical support, clothing, and other assistance in an effective and compassionate manner. Since 1983, Shepherd’s Table has been a necessary and effective resource welcoming and serving those in need within Silver Spring. provide a range of services for those in need within our community, including serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner during the week, and brunch and dinner on weekends, clothing/toiletries, access to vision care, a resource center to check mail, use the telephone, get prescription assistance, and much more. They also have a bi-lingual counselor on-site.
