These Terms and Conditions of Use & Limitation of Liability (these “Terms and Conditions”) set forth the rules and regulations for the use of Silver Spring Cares’s website. Your use of the site and/or its services binds you to these terms. Do not continue to use the Silver Spring Cares website if you do not accept all of the Terms and Conditions stated on this page.
A portion of the Silver Spring Cares website, entitled QuaranTeen Tutors, is designed to match elementary and middle school students (Grades K-12) in need of tutoring assistance with volunteer high school and middle school students (Grades 6-12). QuaranTeen Tutors is not sponsored by any school, business or company. The service is free, and Silver Spring Cares receives no financial benefit from operating QuaranTeen Tutors
QuaranTeen Tutors is intended for VIRTUAL TUTORING, NOT IN-PERSON TUTORING. If participants decide to arrange for any in-person tutoring (which we actively discourage), please note that the QuaranTeen Tutors service DOES NOT screen or test either the individuals asking for assistance or the volunteers for COVID-19. Any screening or testing must be conducted by the parties using this site, if they believe that such screening or testing is necessary. This free service could not exist if it were required to screen or test all volunteers and students. As such, you agree that under no circumstances is Silver Spring Cares, or any individual involved in or with Silver Spring Cares, responsible for any damages arising out of the lack of screening or testing.
Because the whole point of the QuaranTeen Tutors service is the exchange of information, we will share the information you provide to us in order to match students with tutors. By filling out either a Tutor Request Form or Sign Up to Volunteer Form, you are authorizing us to share that information in order to facilitate this service.
The following terminology applies to these Terms and Conditions and any or all agreements: "User”, "You" and "Your" refers to you, the person accessing this website and accepting the Company's terms and conditions. "The Company", "Ourselves", "We", "Our" and "Us", refers to Silver Spring Cares. "Party" or "Parties" refers to both the User and ourselves, or either the User or ourselves. Any use of the above terminology or other words in the singular, plural, capitalization and/or he/she or they, are taken as interchangeable and therefore as referring to same.
