The Arc Montgomery County identifies, creates and sustains inclusive communities that embrace and engage individuals and families affected by intellectual and developmental disabilities.
We believe that our community is strongest when it includes all people regardless of ability. We support young families with fully inclusive day care, summer camp and after-school care. We help young adults with disabilities navigate the path from school to work. We support working-age adults in community-based jobs and help employers learn how to maximize this valuable economic resource. We provide housing for adults with disabilities and support services for those who live independently or with their families. This work is carried on within a framework of advocacy that strives to ensure the preservation of civil and human rights and sufficient investment by local and state governments.
